| History - 2004 (Team Swamp
Dawg)
The History of team Swamp Dawg
Swamp Dawg was established in 2003 by former members of
the Lax World club team. We quickly established ourselves
as one of the premier club teams in the ALL. The team was
composed of players drawn from various former club teams
such as Lax World, Toyota, Single Source, Capital, and Kisslings.
Swamp Dawg had a high pecentage of ex Salisbury players.
The team competed in the ALL Grey Conference East, and was
based out of Annapolis.
2004 Laxtoberfest Tournament
We went 6 and 0 and won our first tournament. We beat Rocky
Run, Washington, and Michelob Ultra on day one. Day two
we beat DTI and Washington (again) to set up a championship
game with Crease Monkeys. We won the game 10-3 over a talented
group of Monkey's and Lax World additions. e-lacrosse's

2004 Ocean City Tournament
Unfortunately we went 1 and 2 at OC in 2004. We had a tough
first round match up vs. Toyota which we lost by 3 or 4
goals. In the second game we beat Baltimore, and then lost
by 1 to a good FCA team on Sunday.
2004 Bump and Grind Tournament
We went 3-1 in the Bump and grind tournament. We had an
easy first round win and then lost in the 2nd round to Monkeys/Rebel.
We were up in the 4th but gave up the lead and lost by 1.
Unfortunately there were only a few teams at our level in
the tournament and we had to play one of them 2nd. Our two
games on Sunday were easy wins, so we switched up positions
to at least make it humorous.
2004 American Lacrosse League (ALL)
Season
We had a pretty good 2nd year in the league. We went
6-3 vs. ALL teams during the regular season and we beat
Crease Monkeys 12-8 for our 1st playoff win. We lost in
the South semi finals to Kisslings. |
