History - 2003 (Team Swamp Dawg)

2003 Ocean City Tournament
We had an impressive but disappointing performance at this tournament. We coasted through a 1st round win over Shamrock to set up a match up with eventual tournament champion Single Source. We led most of the game and were up 2 goals with 2 minutes left in the game, before making some stupid mistakes to let them tie the game. We ended up loosing 10-9 in OT. Single Source went on to beat Michelob/Capital, and then Lax World in the finals. In our third game we won a close one against Kisslings.

2003 Bump and Grind Tournament
We had a decent showing at the bump. We suffered two tournament ending injuries in the 1st night of and had a close 1st round loss, thanks to an opposing goalie who played out of his mind. We sobered up in time to win our next three games on the way to the consolation championship (aka the toilet bowl).

2003 American Lacrosse League (ALL) Season
In our first season we went 10-1 during the regular season. We weren't playoff eligible because it was our first year. Apparently some teams didn't want to see us in the playoffs. Our only setback was a 11-10 overtime loss to eventual league champion Lax World. We gave them their toughest game of the season, and the game easily could have gone either way. It was a great season for a team in it's first year, and we are anxiously awaiting the 2004 season, where we expect to be a much improved team.
